How a 6 team round robin schedule works
Each of the 6 teams plays the other 5 once: 6 × 5 ÷ 2 = 15 games. They fit into 5 rounds of 3 games, with every team playing once per round.
The schedule uses the circle method: seed 1 stays in place and the other teams rotate one position each round. That pairs every team with every other team exactly once and never asks a team to play twice in a round.
With 3 courts or fields, every game in a round can be played at once, so the whole event takes 5 time slots, about 2.5 hours with 30-minute games. With one court it is 15 games back to back, about 7.5 hours.
