Everyone plays everyone once. Round robin is the fairest format for leagues, pickleball nights and group stages: standings are decided on wins, draws and score difference rather than a single knockout.

Questions

How many games are in a round robin?

Teams times teams minus one, divided by two. Every team plays every other team exactly once.

What happens with an odd number of teams?

One team sits out each round with a bye. The schedule rotates so every team has exactly one bye over the tournament.

How are ties broken?

Wins earn 3 points and draws 1. Ties break on score difference, then points scored, then original seed.
